Geo Insights



This report is in BETA stage. We make beta reports and tools available for the purpose of receiving customer feedback regarding features and functionality prior to finalizing them. BETA reports and graphs cannot be added to PDF reports, Marketing Dashboards or Client Dashboards. Any feedback that you provide to customer service will be shared with our development team, and the final product will be updated and thoroughly tested prior to official launch. Thank you.

The Geo Insights graph provides options for displaying marketing metrics on a map. Features include:
  • Marketing Metrics: Average Rank, SERP Feature (Share), SERP Feature (Page), Rank Position Distribution, and Visibility Score
  • Account-wide Data: utilizing Custom Views, Geo Insights maps can include data from single or multiple campaigns
  • Locations: Map points, pins or pies can be set to specific address, city or postal code
  • Variety of Maps:  Australia, Europe, South Africa, United Kingdom, United States and World, plus option to set specific map position
  • Design: choose marker type and color, marker and map size, map position, map color and background color
  • Interactive: hover over map markers to display data for each location, zoom in/out
  • Share: in PDF reports, marketing dashboards and client dashboards

How to Set Map Location

             
 
Report Options > Display > Map Position
Zoom in or out to the location you want to view and then click the Set Position button in the Map Position section of Report Options > Display.

How to Change Map Design

             
 
Report Options > Display > Colors
Click the color box to the left of Map Color or Background Color in the Colors section of Report Options > Display, and select a color from the palette or enter a HEX color code.

Add Map Markers or Change Map Marker Colors

This setting is in Report Options > Display > Marker Colors.
  • Click the Add Row button to add another marker and enter a rank range.
  • Click the marker to change its color

  • Average Rank data type offers map Pin or Point display options
  • Position Distribution data type has a Pie chart display and you can set the size
  • Visibility data type has coverage circles

  • SERP Feature (Page):  the number of times a specific SERP Feature displayed in Google results for a page on the domain(s) selected in the Custom View settings

  • Position Distribution: search engine rank position groups as defined in the Marker Colors section for the selected custom views data
  • Visibility: based on the rank and search volume data for the selected custom view(s), visibility coverage circles are displayed on the map. (Learn more about Visibility scores)

  • Click a map marker to select a different color
  • Enter the rank position range for each marker color, for example, entering 1 and 3 for the first marker will apply that marker color to the number of keywords ranking in positions 1, 2 and 3 in the selected Custom View(s)
  • Click the Add Row button to define additional rank position ranges
Marker Type: the type of markers available varies according to the selected Data Type.
  • Average Rank data type offers map Pin or Point display options
  • SERP Features (Share) data type provides a 2-color Pie chart display and you can set the size
  • SERP Features (Page) data type has coverage circles
  • Position Distribution data type has a Pie chart display and you can set the size
  • Visibility data type has coverage circles

Marker Info & Legend
  • Custom View Name: enable if you want the name you assigned to the custom view to display in the hover over info on the map
  • Custom View Location: enable if your custom view is related to a location and you want that location name displayed in the hover over info on the map
  • Pie Size: you may change the size of the Pie Chart displayed in SERP Features (Share) or Position Distribution 
  • Marker Legend: select to show or hide the map marker legend for Average Rank or Position Distribution

  • Width: leave blank for the default map setting or enter a width based on where you plan for this map to be viewed
  • Height: you may set the height based on where you plan for this map to be viewed
We recommend that you test the map in the PDF report, Marketing Dashboard or Client Dashboard where you plan to share it with clients or management
